Friday keynote speaker, Jane Jenkins Herlong, CSP, CPAE
Jane Jenkins Herlong is a Sirius XM Humorist, international best-selling/award-winning author, professional singer, recording artist and award-winning professional speaker.
Jane is the author of five best-selling/award-winning books: “Rhinestones on My Flip-Flops: Choosing Extravagant Joy in the Midst of Everyday Mess-ups,” (Hachette Book Group), “Bury Me with My Pearls” (Gold Medal in the Illumination Book Awards and Christian Small PublisherBook of the Year), “Bare Feet to High Heels,” and “What Ta-Tas Teach Us,” (breast cancer awareness). Jane’s fifth book, “Sweet Tea Secrets from the Deep Fried South,” is published by Tyndale and will be released January of 2022.
With a sense of humor and smart work, Jane traveled from the rows of her family farm to the runway of the Miss America Pageant all the way to performing at Radio City Music Hall. She graduated from college with the highest honors voted by her peers and continued on to graduate school. Her successes continued to pile up from there. Today, Jane travels around the world featured at speaking events in New Zealand and Germany as well as several venues around the United States. Jane has also had the pleasure of sharing the stage with several noteworthy people such as Dr. Charles Stanley, General Colin Powell, Rudolph Giuliani and the late Charlton Heston.
Saturday keynote speaker, Barry Banther, Chairman of the Board of NSA
Barry Banther has been an NSA member since 1998. He has held every elected position at the Chapter level. He has also held every position nationally, being sworn in as the Chairman of the Board of NSA at Influence in 2020.
More importantly Barry brings over four decades of experience as a leader. He served in the administration of three Florida Governors as their appointee to oversee the regulation of all Private Higher Education. He was elected to three back-to-back terms as Chairman of the Florida State Board of Independent Colleges and Universities.
He is the founder and CEO of two professional service firms delivering speaking, training, and consulting across America. This body of work has earned Barry the highest certification as a CSP, Certified Speaking Professional, and CMC, Certified Management Consultant. He has also received broad public recognition including the All Pro Dad, Family Ambassador award from Family First, the home of the All Pro Dad program. In 2018 he and his wife received one of Florida’s highest awards for service to the community - The Jack and Ruth Eckerd Legacy Award.
His firm, Banther Consulting, is a family business. His oldest son David is the Managing Partner, and his daughter-in-law Ruth recently earned Partner status. Barry and his wife Janice divide their time between Tarpon Springs, Florida, and Banner Elk, NC.
